Getting started

What is Hero's Path?

Hero's Path is a personal transformation app for iOS. It combines an AI coach, identity work, belief transformation, emotional state shifting, reminders, and notes into one place, so the ideas that change your life actually stay in your life.

How do I create an account?

Download Hero's Path from the App Store and open it. You can sign up with an email and password, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google. Either option creates your account instantly.

Is Hero's Path available on Android or web?

Today, Hero's Path is iPhone-only. A web dashboard at herospath.tech lets you manage your account and subscription. Android is on the roadmap.

Account and sign-in

I forgot my password.

Tap Forgot password on the sign-in screen, enter the email on your account, and we'll send a reset link. If it doesn't arrive within five minutes, check your spam folder, then email support@herospath.tech and we'll reset it for you.

I'm stuck on the sign-in screen or getting an error.
  • Make sure you're on the latest version of the app (App Store → Updates).
  • Force-quit the app and reopen it.
  • Check your internet connection.
  • If you originally signed up with Apple or Google, use the same button on sign-in, email and password won't work for that account.

Can I change the email on my account?

Not yet from inside the app. Email us from the address currently on your account and we'll update it manually.

Subscriptions and billing

How do I subscribe or manage my subscription?

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. To manage, pause, or cancel:

  • Open Settings on your iPhone.
  • Tap your name at the top.
  • Tap Subscriptions.
  • Select Hero's Path and make changes.

You can also open the Apple subscriptions page directly on your iPhone.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles all App Store refunds. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase, find the Hero's Path charge, and request a refund. Apple usually decides within 48 hours.

If something about the app itself isn't working and you'd like help before filing a refund, email us first at support@herospath.tech.

I was charged but don't see my subscription active.

Open the app, go to Settings → Subscription, and tap Restore Purchases. This pulls your latest purchase from Apple. If it still doesn't show, email us with the date of the charge and the Apple ID email.

Using the app

The AI coach isn't responding or feels off.
  • Check your internet connection. The coach runs in the cloud.
  • Pull to refresh the chat screen, or force-quit and reopen the app.
  • The coach uses your Future Self, Beliefs, and recent messages for context. If answers feel generic, fill out your Future Self tab so it has more to work with.
My reminders aren't arriving.
  • Open iPhone Settings → Notifications → Hero's Path and make sure Allow Notifications is on, along with Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Banners.
  • Check that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn't silencing the app.
  • In the app, open the reminder and confirm the schedule is set correctly.
  • If notifications were denied on first launch, iOS needs you to re-enable them from Settings, the app can't re-prompt you.
How does Shift work?

Open the Shift tab, describe what you're feeling, and tap Transform. The app generates five artifacts tuned to your current state: an affirmation, a reframe, a next action, a short meditation, and a reminder you can save. Past shifts live in your history so you can revisit them.

How do I work on a limiting belief?

Go to the Transform tab and add a belief. Name the one you're leaving behind, write the belief you're stepping into, and work the process. Active beliefs show up to your coach as context, so conversations reinforce the identity shift you're committed to.

How do I restore a deleted note or reminder?

Deletes are immediate and we don't keep an undo buffer. If you lost something important, email us within 24 hours and we can usually recover it from a recent backup.

Privacy and data

Who can see my notes and chats?

Only you. Hero's Path staff do not read your content. AI features send the specific message or entry you ask about to Anthropic or OpenAI under commercial API terms, your data is not used to train any model. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

How do I export my data?

Self-serve export is on the roadmap. Today, email us from the address on your account and we'll send you a copy of your data in a portable format within 30 days.

How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, and confirm. Your account is disabled immediately. All your content is purged from our systems within 30 days.

Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account, use the in-app Delete Account flow. If you can't access the app for any reason, email support@herospath.tech from the address on your account and we'll delete it manually within 7 business days.

If you have an active paid subscription, cancel it from iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions before deleting your account so no further charges occur.

Reporting a bug or requesting a feature

Found a bug? Have a feature idea? We want to hear it. Email support@herospath.tech with:

  • What you expected to happen.
  • What actually happened.
  • Your iPhone model and iOS version.
  • The app version (Settings → About in the app).
  • A screenshot or screen recording if possible.
