Terms of Service

Effective April 18, 2026

These terms are a legal agreement between you and Hero's Path LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Hero's Path", "we", "us", "our"). They govern your use of the Hero's Path mobile app, web dashboard, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Who can use Hero's Path

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. You are responsible for anything that happens under your account, so keep your password secret.

2. What Hero's Path is, and what it isn't

Hero's Path is a personal growth and journaling tool. It includes AI-generated coaching responses that may offer suggestions, reframes, and observations. These are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. If you are in crisis or considering harming yourself or others, contact your local emergency services or a qualified mental-health professional immediately.

3. Your content

You own the content you create in Hero's Path (your notes, beliefs, behaviors, goals, chat messages, etc.). You grant us a limited license to store and process that content so we can run the Service: display it back to you, route it to AI providers at your request, back it up, and deliver related features.

We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train third-party models.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break the law or use the Service to harm others.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, scrape at scale, or disrupt the Service.
• Bypass rate limits, access controls, or billing.
• Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harassing, sexually explicit about minors, or that violates others' rights.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Paid plans are billed through Stripe (web) or Apple (in-app purchase on iOS) at the pricing displayed at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. Refunds for in-app purchases on iOS are handled by Apple. Refunds for web subscriptions are handled by us on a case-by-case basis; email support@herospath.tech.

6. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account in the mobile app. Deletion is immediate and permanent. Your data is removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate. You use the Service at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Hero's Path and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $100.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. If we make material changes, we will notify active users at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
